I walk down the street.
There is a hole.
I don't see it.
I fall in.
It isn't my fault.
It takes a very long time to get out.

I walk down the same street.
There is still a deep hole.
I pretend not to see it.
I fall in.
I pretend it's still not my fault.
It takes a long time to get out.

I walk down the same street.
There is still the same deep hole.
I see it.
I fall in anyway.
It's a habit.
I get out quicker this time.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole.
I see it.
I walk around it.
I don't fall in.

I walk down a different street.

burnt my leg against the charcoal pot yesterday and the doctor had to peel of the layer of burnt skin. very tortourous process given my low level of pain tolerance. Dont even start asking me why there's a pot of charcoal in my path in the first place, it's a long story. Anyway, hope I walk like normal person and bathe withour propping my leg up soon. Pain pain pain...

on happier news, vday was well spent in a down to earth italian restaurant. no fancy vday set meals, no dressing up to the nines. sometimes, the best things in life are just that simple.

time to get down to the tradition of spring cleaning before chinese new year. lots of housework to do, but i'm looking forward to it! nothing beats the feeling of having a clean and decluttered home after a hard day's labour. and a gd chance to lose some calories too. hoho..

and i haven got round to shopping for cny clothes! but the gd thing is, i've got a brand new dress bought last year (think it was at holland v, tt time when chui brought melanie along). and i actually bought it with cny in mind..as a backup..haha..i'm so kiasu. hmmm...but tt's not gonna stop me from more shopping. doesn hurt to look around some more right?

and i wanna go soak up the cny atmosphere at chinatown.

i'm not a war movie person but i went for red cliff 2. reason was very simple, cos i watched red cliff 1 long time ago (i had nothing better to do and the guys wanted to watch) and was left hanging till now. i know nuts about chinese history, ok, maybe very little, considering i did study some chinese history back in school days (did i?) anyway, the point is, i'm so impressed by zhuge liang! i know he was a very smart man, but i didnt know his smart ways (the 100k arrows!). haha, he's probably my favourite character in red cliff 2. and it certainly helps that this role's played by takeshi kaneshiro ^_^ and my other favourite's lin zhi ling, check out her long slender fingers and her grace when making tea. ayy..my fingers are short and stubby in comparison and i only make lipton tea. "(-_-) all in all, it was an ok movie for me, at least i know the history of red cliff now. haha..

in other news, my sis is showcasing her design at this year's 50+ exhibition, held in suntec from 10-11 Jan. Went to show some sisterly support just now. they do have some great ideas, easy-thread needles, spoon cum chopsticks, and sugar cube teaspoon. impressive!

+ The Tiffany Setting +
met up with ween today and she brought up the topic of diamond rings. apparently there's really great bargains at sookee jewellery where a decent grade of 0.91ct diamond ring costs less than Sgd 6000. We went to check out the store, and the ring did look brilliant enough. But I'm no expert on diamonds, cant really determined if that is really a good bargain.
anyway, we decided to go Tiffany for our next meetup. Just to soak in the brillance and bask in the world of rich. haha.. and as of now, my favourite colour's Tiffany blue.

so today's dinner was at old airport road cos the bf insisted on going there for turtle soup. i was pretty reluctant cos my mind was set on naan at upper thomson [which was the plan for breakfast, but i couldnt wake up on time "(-_-) ]. Anyway, we eventually ended up at old airport rd with a table of yummy dishes. that place is indeed a fd heaven! and i'm looking forward to go back for the crab, penang kuey tiao and desserts that we missed this time round. what a great (and sinful) dinner for the new yr. speaking of sinful, i need to lose some flabs <-- new yr resolution no 1: lose 4kg by Valentine's.

on another note, i'm so loving grey's anatomy!

i'm totally spoilt for choice when it comes to mooncake. with so many flavours, attractive packagings, promotions etc. going on, buying a box of mooncake can easily be an 30 min long treasure hunt. haha, but i guess that's the fun part too, taking the opportunity to soak in the festive mood. and of course, sample all the unimaginable flavours. haha, mooncake bakers are really getting more creative. anyway, i'm gonna head down to taka fair tmr for another purchase, also wanna check out raffles hotel's champagne truffle mooncake and the traditional one offered by da zhong guo. yup yup, and i also went online to check the ticket price for the lantern exhibition at chinese garden, $12 on weekdays, $15 on weekends. hmmm, kinda not worth the price ar. should i go? maybe.

emilyn had free tics for wall.e last sat. and so we went to catch the movie i would otherwise not watch. and i was so wrong, cos wall.e turned out to be a great movie! so cute and romantic. wah..i'm so totally in love with wall.e now <3

Coach's Hamptons Vintage Leather Flap Satchel in Brass/Petrol

On other note, I went to the doc for hand allergy and she prescribed loratadine. And I was still thinking I could drink a glass or two at wala on friday with my improved gastric condition, only to see "Avoid alcoholic drinks. Caution: may affect driving." on the label. Sianz (-_-)
but still, i'm looking forward to the meetup! for the company and the music =)

p/s: i'm into fengshui recently. share with me any interesting materials =p

- from yello-w

on job hunting...
went  for a handful of interviews and got a few job offers, but none of these finalised into signing of employment letter for various reasons (which shant be mentioned here). i'm waiting for the 3rd interview for this job that i'm very keen to take up. keeping my fingers crossed on this. meanwhile, jobportals stay on my favourite list. heard that there's a career fair coming up. i hope i dont have to go.

on social life..
very much limited to gatherings over food and coffee, plus a few shopping kakis. nothing havoc nothing loud. not that i'm really into these, but i do miss the crazy times. and i miss sleepovers (completed with horror movies and hot chocs) too!
looking forward to more fun next week =)

weekend plans..
half of me wants a weekend getaway. be it the msia trip or kelong trip. and the other half of me wants the steamboat gathering at yj's. especially when i've already missed the previous supper gathering! haiz..choices.
and also lots of much-needed housework awaits. time to wash the bedsheets too. but this is easier to choose: wait. haha, i cant describe how much i hate household chores.

on shows and books..
just finish watching gossip girl season 1 and sad to say, season 2 wont be out till september. same for antm cycle 11. so i'm running out of shows to watch, which explains why i'm starting to watch 'whose line is it anyway', which is hilarious btw.
the 8th book of w.m.c series wont be released till march 09, and i've completed most of piers anthony's xanth novels. which means i should find new favourites to start on.
i wanna watch 12 lotus and nobody's keen on that show. i dunno y.
watched mummy 3..i tot it was nice, but the guys were complaining on the short war scenes. i'm fine with less violence and more plot.
p/s: shows and books recommendations are welcomed.

on food in the fridge..
a lonely tub of mascarpone sits in the fridge cos i haven got round to buying / kop-ping baileys. and tiramisu, in my opinion, doesnt taste good without baileys.
daiso pudding mix expires end august. but i've got no mood for pudding. i dont know why either.
and i dunno what to do with the tubfull of fusilli.

on beauty treats..
facial's long overdue. shall make the appointment next week.
i've got a za makeover voucher. anybody got a dinner / event and wants free makeup? text me.
i bought this eyebrow trimming tool at $1.80 from that bookstore at nuh. cheap and good! makes diy brow trimming more insured. haha..

on new places to explore..
mount sophia!!
french village. (i'm waiting for my sis to confirm with me if this in sg or msia)

on cravings..
sashimi. sashimi. sashimi.

i guess that's all for today. nitey to all =)
